Friends of Benmakesten know that I usually steer clear of "politics", "faith-debates", or other controversial and/or confrontational style writing on my blog.

However, once in a while, I feel compelled to "speak my heart" and "follow my conscience" in an effort to express something and share it when I feel that it is important or crucial to "families", "communities", "people of faith", or "individuals who are seeking a better way of life".

This post, is such.

All eyes (and ears) have been on the Republican Candidates lately; their debates, their campaigns, and the voting of several states toward the nomination of a ticket nominee who will go to battle against the incumbent Democratic candidate...namely, the president of the United States of America.

No matter where I turn my attention; to the news, to the media, to conversations with citizens, relatives, friends, social network-pals, etc...I often hear diatribes involving the need to "balance the budget", "restore the economy", "secure our borders", etc...

I would like to encourage and urge you today, if you will be voting toward this nomination and/or in the General Election, come Fall...to PLEASE make "the sacredness of life in all its stages" your number ONE priority and issue.

It is my firm and adamant belief that this nation will never restore its economy, strengthen its industries, build back up its working forces, or protect its citizens from foreign enemies, if it FIRST and FOREMOST does not RESTORE and UPHOLD each and every single person's inherent RIGHT TO LIFE; endowed by their Creator, and WRITTEN INTO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

THIS issue IS the most important. It is the most basic and foundational necessity for ALL other laws, amendments, issues, regulations, bills, and statutes.

If the Supreme Court of this nation will not protect and defend the RIGHT TO LIFE, then we will NEVER, EVER rise above the struggles and trials that come from the other fallen and crumbling areas in the day to day life of America.

I hear much talk about "The Federal Debt". I'm not one for "numbers" but I believe that it is somewhere in the neighborhood of more than a trillion dollars, now, correct?

Like I said, it all comes down to the RIGHT TO LIFE.

For instance, in an effort to begin to pay off some of the money-owed, why not STOP funding Planned Parenthood; and in so-doing SAVE the MILLIONS of dollars per year wherein 91% of it is used to slaughter innocent babies in the womb?!? (I don't have the proper numbers, as I've said...but I read recently that our government funded PP with more than $46 million dollars last year!)


If "we" ,as in, "the USA", SAVED that money each year and used it to begin paying off the debt...well, you can see what I mean.

How does one teach a child about compassion, integrity, and ethical and good moral behavior when he/she is growing up in a society where the LAW says that a mother may murder her own child and the government will GIVE her the money to do it?!?

I also read recently that someone (sorry, can't remember the author of the quote) wrote that if any parent wants to "limit" their family size, they should be made to wait until each child is TWO years old...and THEN decide to "limit" the family.

Sadly, it seems so much "easier" to "limit" our children when we can't SEE them.

The men who are vying for the Republican Ticket at this time, are well-spoken, experienced, successful, and full of zeal.

As you decide how to place your vote, PLEASE discern through deep prayer and ask yourself what can possibly be more important to American Citizens, to each family, to the nation as a whole, to churches, to schools, and to the world at-large, than LIFE, itself, and the protection and defense of EACH person...even, and especially, the MOST fragile, innocent, and completely dependent members of our society; BABIES IN THE WOMB?

Which "issue" do you think comes first in God's eyes?

Do not look to the political pundits, to the news media, or to your neighbor or co-worker or Facebook Friends for your answers.

Look to the Lord. Search your heart and soul.

VOTE FOR LIFE.

A vote for life IS a vote for America.

The current president's policies have put more people on food stamps/welfare than any in history.
The current president is more radically pro-choice/abortion (which is one in the same thing) than any other president in history.

These things are ANTI-life.
They are a part of the Culture of Death.

As I step back down off my soapbox now and go back to blogging about the topics I normally feature here, I pray that all of you, who have a voting voice in America, will put LIFE first on your ballot.
